Anhui Province has many sister cities in the world. As of December 2020, 97 pairs of friendly inter-provincial (municipal) relations have been concluded with 39 countries on six continents:

     Among them, there are 10 pairs in Japan, 8 pairs in the United States, 7 pairs in South Korea, 5 pairs in Australia and Italy respectively, 4 pairs each in Germany, France, Britain, Sweden, Argentina, Russia respectively, 3 pairs each in Spain and Brazil, 2 pairs each in South Africa, Mexico, Hungary, Turkey, Denmark and Canada, and 1 pair each in Poland, Yemen, Belgium, Egypt, Philippines, Czech Republic, Belarus, Sierra Leone, Burundi, Cambodia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Finland, Chile, Portugal, San Marino, Switzerland, Serbia and Mongolia. Since the preparation of the exhibition, many friendly provinces, states, sister cities, and foreign universities have sent applications for participation through various channels.
